A Graffiti Blackbook is a book a graffiti artist keeps. It is full of graffiti sketches - drawings of graffiti tags and pieces.
They may be a mixture of his/her own work, and that of their friends and fellow writers.
Some artists take their blackbook with them to writers benches and graffiti events to get people to draw in them and to show off their shizzle.

Where To Buy A Graffiti Blackbook
You can always just use a normal sketch pad if you want to save some money. No one is going to look down on you.
If you want something that is going to look sick, you can buy a proper blackbook from a graffiti supplies store, art supplies store or from Amazon/Ebay.
A large A3 pad will give you more room to sketch in, and you want one with nice thick paper so your ink doesn't bleed.

like im a legend because i started of as a toy and went on to a tagger then went to legend i have blackbooks that date back to 2000 because if filled em up with tags and stuff so i started to rake the spray in and markers i started in blackbooks then went on to paper then went on to paint and stuff and im only 10 now so i had been going for a while then took elements from other pepoles tags and stuff and made a little marker spray colage and a good site is www.graphotism.com and www.skinnycap.com i found them usefull and started to buy graffiti books and graffiti coluring books and training books remember to wear protection while spraying such as a 3m mask and latex gloves and if you are going out in public to spray get can silencers to stop the ball ratiling start off with a little sketch book or a cheap blackbook and some sharpie marker or anything do not start with spray because it drips to much if you do get some cheap stuff like montana of www.amazon.com it is about £3 off their and enter good competitons and DO IT IN LEGALISED AREAS
yo im back again i have now used 120 blackbooks now i have a massive colection by my bed i am now 20 years old and have used 100000 cans of paint and i have moved on to daim i have graffiti lessons i get to graffiti peoples cars and get £40 a week

are u still doin ur tags and shit try and start to do daim it takes awhile to do daim but u will get the hang of it soon get any stencil to graff around with and experiment with either use car paint and markers for begginer and montana and stuff for experinced legends or bombers like me lol posca paint markers and montana markers are useful for begginers excperinced people anything u can get ya hands on anyway ill see u all later bye bye

i have just finished a little boys bedroom his name is jamie he likes football so i did him a big cartoon character kickinga football i got payed £150 he was really happy so was his mother and father they were really nice people it took two months to do though but it was really powerful to the blank walls he had before i also haad another job in essex there was 18 of us on this job 8 of us doing the graffiti on thewalls then the others were doing the installments and elictriclas and stuff so that was all hands on anyway how are you doing with graffiti and shiz do any of you have facebook

Great hub and photos. I am a owner of 2 black books now. Mine only have my work in it. But I want to add there are some of us who also deface the outside of the black book. Like mine is covered with various types of stickers.
